Name: Petitus
From: 1/0
Appearance: http://imgur.com/ygnKO
Age: 3 years since initial creation
Gender: Nongendered
Personality:
Petitus is deep, cynical, and kind of morbid. He doesn't think much of himself and will try to deny any praise. He also doesn't like things getting too chaotic or inconsistent. He very easily gets depressed, causing him to prattle about cynically. If he does try to be funny, he relies on dark humor. He can also get sassy at times. Being a cynic and a pessimist, he usually sees things as they are, so he can usually be the voice of reason. However, he CAN be distracted from his depressive moods.
Being a golem made primarily of mud, he has to maintain a correct amount of moisture. Too little and he'll try up, too much and he'll melt. If he has a good soak in water, he'll feel particularly happy and chipper. These chipper moments may not happen often and can be destroyed by reminding him how dark the situation is. He also dies if he loses 51% of himself. Speaking of chipper, he also becomes determined to do whatever he has to do if people do or will call him cute. He does so in order to attempt to appease those that call him cute, attempting to do stuff he thinks is cute in order to try and further that perception of him.
He can be easily bullied into doing stuff, but he won't usually show much anger. He's also very existential and talkative, questioning and debating on the mechanics of the universe and reasoning why they are the way they are. But he doesn't like to get in any petty arguments. He also doesn't really care for any sort of official romance, thinking it will cloud his judgment. He also dislikes improvisational physics.
He also enjoys working with his hands, so things like digging are fun to him. He once suggested he dies in order to renew urgency to the webcomic and had no problem attempting suicide. However, this was all a ploy to get Tailsteak, the author of the webcomic, no chance to be able to kill him due to him making death boring and an illogical plot twist, so he is also very clever and thinks things through. He's also very ruthless when it comes to people who are indebted to him. He also uses his cleverness to point out that he sees it when the odds are stacked against him.
Backstory:
In strip 309, Petitus was made by his father, an eyeball, from his mother's, an earthworm, castings, and bought to life by Tailsteak, the author. He was created just because his father wanted to make Tailsteak, the author of the webcomic, suffer by making something artistically hard to draw. He son found out his parents don't like each other and found out that he was named incorrectly. He was meant to be named Parvus, which is Latin for Small, but found out he was named "in inclination towards" instead.
He believed he was worthless and went on a three-panel rant about how he's worthless. This made him have a concrete personality. He talked to Zaddock, a person made of straw, and got distracted from thinking too much. Not soon after, he was invited to judge a contest of impressions of people from other webcomics.
He helped his father with an impression of someone from Boxjam, a different webcomic entirely. His mother won the contest and was awarded a hat, which was promptly given to Petitus. He wore the hat for the majority of the rest of the time he was in 1/0.
He then went on to prove himself capable of many other things, such as presiding over a fair trial as a judge, participating in a successful strike against the author from the result of a botched assassination attempt against his father, participating in numerous existential questions about being in a webcomic, suggesting how to build a larger shelter for a larger golem that wouldn't fit in the smaller one, and digging a cistern.
Things were off-and-on smooth for him until, at a time where it was raining, his father destroyed the shelter and killed one of his acquaintences. He decided to try and become a leader by creating a war council against his father, but that position was relegated to his half-nephew/brother, Zadock, who had quickly jumped at the opportunity for leadership.
During the time war was declared against Junior, his father, he shapeshifted into a taller version of himself, wrapping grass around every part of himself except for his head. In this form, he wasn't really that strong at all. As the webcomic was beginning to near it's end, He was sitting down and was too dry to move. He let it rain on himself after taking the grass coverings from his legs and covered his head with it. This caused him to morph back into how he normally looked.
When the webcomic was near it's very end, he was transformed into a human and transported to Portland, Oregon on earth, going to live out his days as a person who looks like someone from the backstreet boys. He spent his human days getting used to both the life as a human and a life without an author to talk to, but he found it jarring and was having massive dificulties feeling as if he had a personal fourth wall.
Moral Standing: True Neutral
Dreams: Being cute. Other than that, this pessimist has none
Fears: Drying up, melting, dying, being hurt, not being cute
Extra:
He's from a webcomic with absolutely no fourth wall
He's usually also about as tall as an eyebrow
As a golem, he can shapeshift to an extent if he has the necessary materials

[There was a void with nothing in it. Soon, something had begun to fade into view. It was a creature that looked like a dinosaur. It was made of dirt and had a straw hat on. It was unconscious, but not for long. It began to stir and groan, awakening.]
Huh? Where... where am I?
[Right now, you're in an application for Ink City. This is the writing sample section, so I have to write a sample of what your personality is. Or whatever.
Petitus stood up from where he was laying at and looked at the fourth wall, directly at me. This was the first time he talked to an author and this one seemed a little different than the one he was used to talking to.]
I really don't think I like this. Who are you anyway?
[Not Tailsteak. Remember those april fool comics?]
Yes. I remember. I was used as a punchline for one of them.
[Well, I'm going to be your new author. Now called a Mun. You may have noticed that you have different knowledge in your head.]
Yeah... It's kind of weird. You're also hiding a lot of things from me. Like Tailsteak did.
[Well, yeah.]
So this ink city place is where I'm going to go I take it?
[Exactly.]
And you're going to be controlling me?
[Yep.
Petitus pauses for a little while as if considering something]
I'm not sure they're going to accept this application. You could mess it up a lot. You already failed twice.
[I can try and do things right. And you're a different character, so I think they'll be more lenient on you than with an original character.]
And what about you? If I talk to you while in this ink city, you might get banned.
[Nah, there's a few people there that break the fourth wall, such as Deadpool.
Petitus scratched his chin in thought and then immediately realized something.]
Wait, why are you doing that? Why are you just saying what I do?
[It's a text-based roleplay. I'm sure you can get used to it.
Petitus groaned inwardly.]
What if I don't want to participate in this text based roleplay?
[Uh... that's not up to you. It's up to me.
He was beginning to feel annoyance swell up inside of him. He raised an eyebrow and deadpanned.]
Are you going to put a leash on me and lock me up in the basement if I don't do everything you say?
[Maybe. You'll find out. Look, can you at least try it?
Petitus debated for a little while. On one hand, this auth-... this mun seemed more aggressive then Tailsteak was and would likely force him to do things. On the other, it actually felt good to talk to an author, or even a mun. He also felt weird having his life as a human so secluded in secrecy and so up to imagination.]
...Fine. But if things get to be too much for me, I'm organizing a strike.
[Great! See yo-]
A STRIKE!
[Petitus raised up an arm as he proclaimed those words and there was a determined look in his eyes.
...Yes. Okay. I get it. See you in the ink well. Probably. Hopefully. Oh, and one more thing.]
What would that be?
[Most of the people here have their own personal fourth walls, ones without the 4's in their eyes somehow, and would likely freak out if they ever found out about their existence as a fictional character. So... please try not to remove that personal fourth wall from them, okay?
There was a pause. Then he smirked.]
Just as long as you don't force me to do anything I don't want to do.
[Okay. Fine. You got it.
Petitus them faded out of view and all that was left was an empty void again.]
